Alpha Trains introduces zedas®asset

Europe’s largest lessor of rail vehicles counts on PC-Soft’s solution for asset and leasing management for vehicle fleets

Following an international request for proposals, Alpha Trains has now put its trust in zedas®asset. They were particularly impressed with the powerful, consistent functions for maintenance management for rail vehicle fleets, the creation of leasing contracts and the integrated mobile functionality.

Upon conclusion of this project, zedas®asset will be available as an information platform to more than 90 customers of Alpha Trains across Europe.

Alpha Trains is the largest lessor of rail vehicles in Europe and has a vehicle fleet of some 370 locomotives and 300 railcars used by various customers throughout Europe. The company has adopted zedas®asset as a step into the future. They will be using it namely as a central information platform for billing leasing contracts and for planning and monitoring maintenance and revisions. The solution furthermore supports important business processes such as preparing vehicle handovers, approving technical vehicle revisions and implementing safety-related measures. They shall also be using zedas®asset to create comprehensive operating data and current, meaningful analyses.

The project is already going full steam ahead. Implementation is planned for December 2014, where the entire company will be working with zedas®asset immediately. From then on, all customers will additionally have the zedas®asset customer portal at their disposal.
